Our highly-experienced instructors will provide you with a solid grounding to increase your level of skill and knowledge. All of our Alpine instructors have New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association qualifications (NZOIA) and our instructor to client ratio is kept at a maximum of 1:6.

NOTE: the Introduction to Mountaineering course teaches you basic skills to moving around in an alpine environment. The rope-work used is for simple security and confidence as the ground gets steeper, rather than planned use of a rope on graded Alpine routes and climbs. We can also offer technical mountaineering skills courses, including the alpine climbing skills needed to summit the Remarkables Mountains and navigate it’s exposed ridges.
