COVID-19 Response

Basecamp Adventures is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our customers and community in our Wanaka and Queenstown Climbing Centres.

Under Level 3 both our Wanaka and Queenstown Climbing Centres are closed.  We will be re-opening on Thursday 14 May when the country moves to COVID-19 Alert Level 2.

Check out our Facebook and Instagram for latest news, tech tips and inspiration.  Or head over to Climbing Shop to kit yourself out for when climbing is back on!

New procedures for visiting Basecamp Adventures during COVID-19 Alert Level 2 are as follows:

  • Maintain physical distancing at all times. Numbers may be limited to ensure appropriate physical distancing. Try to climb at non-peak times if you can
  • Handwashing/sanitising is mandatory before, during and after climbing, using the bathroom or consuming food.  Bring your own hand sanitiser
